This is a network for operators working within Australian worker-owned cooperatives. The group seeks to bring together and advocate for the small worker-owned cooperative sector in Australia. It provides a platform to honour the sixth co-operative principal—cooperation amongst cooperatives.

Cooperatives Tasmania is a network of Tasmanian co-operators to support and advocate for development of the cooperative sector in Tasmania.

Resource is a not-for-profit, waste minimisation cooperative employing 34 workers in Hobart, Tasmania. We established in 1993 and run a second hand hardware/homewares shop ‘tip shop’, education centre, ecological building demolition ‘deconstruction’, community furniture collection, ewaste recycling, urban salvage reuse service and annual community creative reuse art exhibition "Art From Trash". My role is responsible for the effective monitoring of all Resource operations, to inform and support the Board of Management, to provide organisational support to all Resource workers, and to manage the day-to-day implementation of the Resource strategic plan. The Coordinator is also responsible to liaise with the local council and community, to coordinate the Resource office and various buisness arms.

This role seeks to find appropriate homes for our items of antique value or historical significance donated to the South Hobart Tip Shop. The Collectables Work Area Coordinator liaises with the collectables scrutineers and the Board of Directors, museums and local archives and library. We also have meetings with cake.
