Hello, my name is Molly McCrory. I currently work as a middle school Spanish teacher at PCMS (Princeton Community School) in Cincinnati, Ohio. I have been working as an educator now for three years and have loved every second. Working with children has always been a passion of mine. I am bilingual with my two languages being English (First) and Spanish (second). I recieved an advanced-low rating on my oral communication assessment in 2020 and since then, my Spanish has improved immensely. My teaching philosophy is built upon the principles of multicultural education. I believe in inclusive education in which student's diversities are viewed as an asset. My teaching methods include collaborative learning, problem-based learning, and use of authentic materials. In general, my skills include strong verbal and written communication, working as a team member, presentational skills, and critical thinking. I take great interest in learning about other's stories and life experiences. I believe story telling and communication are the best ways to learn. One experience in my life that I believe has contributed to my success as an educator is my time as a youth gymnastics instructor during my undergraduate at Miami University. In the spring of 2019, I received student employee of the semester. Additionally, I was a full-time nanny during the summers of 2017-2020. I took care of the kids, cooked meals for them, helped them with their studies, took them to sport practices, clubs, and even doctor appointments. I was very involved in the family and very hands on in the care of the children. No matter what career I end up in, I am confident that I can offer collaboration, strong communication, and positive relationships with co-workers and clients. My bilingualism can only add to this. It is important to me to be able to support and reach out to all kinds of people, and the Spanish language has made this possible for me.
