I’m an ambitious, industrious and conscientious student fascinated by Engineering. This year I am enrolling in year one of an Aerospace Engineering Undergraduate Degree. Aerospace particularly interests me as it covers such a large range of disciplines as well as a wide variety of industrial sectors. It’s a subject that contributes to the adaptation and changes in the world. I hope to be involved in that innovation to put my innovative and technical mind to new problems.While completing my Undergraduate course I will be undertaking a placement year in industry, to give me an insight into the workplace to better prepare myself for my career. I hope to specialise in propulsion technologies, materials/structures and control systems giving me a strong grounding to hopefully go into a Formula 1 engineering team as an Aerodynamicist – my goal when I finish University. I studied Maths, Further Maths and Physics at A-level, as they’re the subjects I love. Further Maths taught me how to be resilient alongside being a critical thinker, especially when studying the Discrete Module. Discrete Maths encompassed decomposing problems and applying different skills to find a solution that adheres a set criterion. I found this challenging yet fascinating, hence highly motivating.
