As the Head of Weight Loss Coaching, I lead and manage a brilliant team of over 30 Weight Loss Coaches and Coaching Team Leads, driving the development and implementation of effective weight loss programmes that empower patients to achieve lasting health and wellness. My role involves:- Leadership & Team Development: Overseeing recruitment, training, and professional development of the coaching team, ensuring each member is equipped to deliver exceptional patient support.- Programme Design & Strategy: Developing evidence-based weight loss and wellness programmes rooted in behaviour change techniques, tailored to meet the unique needs of diverse patient populations.- Patient Success & Engagement: Ensuring high patient satisfaction through continuous engagement, personalised coaching, and measurable outcomes. In this part-time role, I provided specialised dietetic care to high-risk patients in an eating disorder inpatient unit within a mental health hospital. My responsibilities included:- Patient Care: Developing and implementing tailored nutritional plans to support recovery in patients with severe eating disorders, often in high-pressure, high-risk scenarios.- Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Working closely with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses, to deliver comprehensive, patient-centred care.- Monitoring & Support: Regularly assessing patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed, and providing ongoing nutritional education and support to promote long-term health and recovery.This role honed my ability to manage complex cases in challenging environments, deepening my commitment to holistic, patient-focused care.

In this role at a private obesity treatment company, I focused on developing and delivering specialised programmes for patients following bariatric interventions. Key responsibilities included:- Programme Development: Designing and implementing tailored nutrition plans for patients undergoing treatments with GLP-1 medications and the Allurion Balloon.- Patient Support: Providing expert guidance and ongoing support to optimise patient outcomes and ensure effective management of post-bariatric care.- Treatment Integration: Collaborating with medical professionals to integrate nutritional strategies with bariatric interventions, enhancing overall treatment efficacy.This role required a deep understanding of weight management and bariatric care, leveraging my expertise to support patients through advanced treatment methods and personalised nutritional programmes.

In this remote role, I managed a team of Nutritionists and Dietitian health coaches within a fast-paced start-up environment. Key responsibilities included:- Team Leadership: Guiding and supervising a coaching team to deliver personalised health and wellbeing support via our digital platform, while also maintaining a personal customer caseload.- Operational Oversight: Leading the team through diverse company initiatives and frequent changes typical of a start-up, ensuring effective adaptation and support.- Analytical & Strategic Thinking: Utilising analytical skills to assess risks, optimise processes, and implement appropriate training. Created evaluation loops and leveraged key metrics and data to drive continuous improvement.This role required a high level of leadership and strategic insight, managing both the coaching team and my own caseload to ensure exceptional service and operational efficiency.

Training and development was undertaken in advanced communication and behaviour change interventions; including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. The role also involved the co-ordination and provision of support and development opportunities to graduate Dietitians, dietetic students and other healthcare professionals. Acquired experience in data collection, analysis and reporting of service procedures and outcomes.
