Bringing biological systems engineering into collaboration with landscape architecture to enhance and execute creative designs for unique spaces such as parks, trails, multifamily residences, commercial uses, and more. My goal is to use green stormwater infrastructure to create a bridge between communities and their natural environment.

EDG is a team focused on landscape architecture and engineering collaboration to produce environmentally-focused site designs. As an engineering designer, Molly works with the EDG team to design and manage projects from conception through construction prioritizing strategic stormwater and landscape design. Molly and the EDG team feel passionate about using site design to bring people closer to their environment, even in increasingly urban spaces.

● Calculated flow rates for pipes to consider connecting a private plant to a city sewage system● Solved for ADW, AWW, MWW, and PHWW to analyze the flow of a wastewater treatment plant● Visited 6 projects on site including: Force main, wastewater treatment plant, and CIPP projects● Reviewed technical standards, plans, reports, and met with clients

● Worked on 3 different types of design details and notes on AutoCAD ● Investigated stormwater permitting requirements on local, state, and federal levels● Water volume calculations with AutoCAD for 3-4 potential cofferdams to prevent flooding● Aided in the initial development of a stormwater pollution prevention plan (SWPPP)● Created and delivered a presentation summarizing work to CEO and higher ups● Gathered about 15 leachate samples from a closed landfill

● Built and maintained the Konza Prairie irrigation system● Irrigated specific plots to simulate periods of abundance and drought on prairies● Collected soil moisture data using a neutron probe at 12 collection points ● Surveyed streams at the Konza and on campus to find their current shape● Cut tree root samples on campus and at the Konza to analyze stream erosion● Retrieved Great Smokey River water samples to examine the rivers water quality
