Full time visiting professor for one semester in an emerging graphic design program. Taught typography, formal principles, digital media, and critical thinking. Was invited to initiate, develop and lead a new sustainability committee for the college; this involved educating students and fellow faculty about regenerative design, resource mapping, permaculture and place making. Served as a student advisor and on hiring committees.

Full time educator, Ohio University School of Art + Design. Taught courses in design, research, writing and thesis development for graduate students. Taught undergraduate studio courses in senior thesis development, design, book arts and foundation studies. Served as a tutor in the Honors Tutorial College. Frequently engaged students in social practice projects, with attention to issues affecting living systems in Appalachian Ohio — including family systems, social systems and bioregional systems.

In the Department of Visual Arts: taught basic and advanced typography, visual form, and special topics courses employing oral history methodologies. Served on the assessment committee among others. Organized and implemented a number of community-based projects, served as a faculty mentor on a summer trip to Cameroon, Africa.
