I love promoting my work and don’t love to promote myself. However, you are here to find out more about me so here are a few things that you should know about me:1) I am passionate about Leadership – There are a lot of “leaders” that climb the ladder and have no training or skill for leading others. I decided to study leadership so that I didn’t become one of them. I found that the best leaders are intentional about helping followers accomplish more than they believed they could. Good leaders don’t just tell you what to do, they empower you to improve yourself and bless the customer while serving your organization. With a doctorate in Strategic Leadership, I am obviously all in on learning about this topic and committed to using my knowledge to help others become leaders. 2) If we have a conversation, we’ll talk about college - No one grows up dreaming about being an admission counselor but when I fell into this industry in 1999 it captured my heart and I have been living the dream ever since. With 20+ years of higher education enrollment experience, I am convinced that education changes lives for the better. If you have questions about going to college or working in admissions, reach out. I am thrilled to share my experience and tips with others. 3) I am a perpetual learner. I am always studying something so you can find me reading a book/article on one of my favorite topics or watching a video to expand my knowledge. Education and leadership are obvious themes and you can add diversity and generational differences to my list of regular subjects.4) I love to connect with others and enjoy networking via LinkedIn. I rarely “buy” anything that a random person pitches me through LinkedIn (sorry vendors).
