Molly currently serves as one of four principals at the Texas office of Husch Blackwell Strategies, a lobby and public affairs firm located in eight states and Washington D.C. Her role allows her to work with clients across all industries to recognize legislative, budgetary, and procurement goals and how to maneuver for success. By strategically advising key decision makers in state government with facts, insights, and strategies to make well-informed decisions, allows her clients to advance and protect their various industries. In this role, Molly directs bills and budget riders through the Texas legislature, by: drafting legislation, amendments, communication materials, and talking points for clients, legislators, and other interest groups; securing legislators as sponsors for legislation that support client goals; connecting legislative committees with experts necessary to provide input on relevant legislative matters; regularly monitoring legislation and other events that can impact clients’ industries; and working with the executive branch to guide legislation through the veto process Molly maintains strategic communications in high-pressure situations with clients, legislators, colleagues, and others to ensure cohesiveness between parties. She also is able to pinpoint emerging procurement opportunities for clients and guides them through the process of government contracting. Furthermore, she monitors business development in Texas to identify new business opportunities for prospective clients to expand their government affairs presence in Texas.

As Chief of Staff, Miss Spratt served as the primary advisor for the Senator on Senate Finance on all articles of the General Appropriations Act. She additionally advised the Senator on Nominations for gubernatorial appointments requiring Senate approval. As Chief of Staff, Miss Spratt managed the entirety of the Senator's staff, including the Capitol and Committee offices in Austin, Texas, as well as the District Offices in Houston, Texas and Lake Jackson, Texas. Her duties also included supervising and controlling the Senator's budget for all offices totaling over 350 thousand dollars. She additionally served as chief of compliance for all requests related to the Public Information Act. She also aided in the coordination of the Senator's media requests and interviews. On top of her duties as Chief of Staff, Miss Spratt advised the Senator on legislation in the Senate Committees on Education, Higher Education, Property Tax, and Health & Human Services, supervised certain pieces of the Senator's legislative package, worked with staff in the Governor’s, Lieutenant Governor’s, and Speaker’s offices regularly to discuss current and potential legislation and political strategy, and collaborated frequently with SD 17 constituents, agency staff, policy experts, and lobbyists on various issues

As policy analyst, Miss Spratt's responsibilities included researching and analyzing legislation, specializing in Articles II and III of the General Appropriations Act (GAA). Under these two articles of the Texas state budget, Miss Spratt was responsible for intimate knowledge of the funding mechanisms and programs for all areas of state-funded education and healthcare. Articles II and III of the GAA comprise approximately 80% of all articles combined and account for roughly 160 billion dollars of Texas's 216 billion dollar budget. Miss Spratt additionally aided the Senator and the Legislative Director in compiling resources for Articles I, IV, and V of the GAA during the Senate Finance Conference Committee. Miss Spratt was responsible for managing certain pieces of the Senator's legislative package, concerning topics including, but not limited to: the repeal of the Driver Responsibility Program, the raising of the minimum legal age of purchase for tobacco products, establishing the University of Houston College of Medicine, and Hurricane Harvey response.

As Legislative Director, Miss Spratt was responsible for the entirety of Rep. Huberty's extensive legislative package. Her responsibilities included drafting legislation, legal research, meetings with stakeholders and experts, being knowledgeable of the legislative process, and advising the representative on potential and current legislation. At the beginning of the 85th Legislative Session, Miss Spratt's focus shifted to Public Education from her previous experience in State Affairs policy. Although her specialization has shifted, Miss Spratt was responsible for the majority of Rep. Huberty's committee obligations, spanning several subject areas. During the 85th Legislative Session, Miss Spratt's primary policy focus area included municipal annexation reform and public school finance reform. Miss Spratt regularly worked with the staff in the Governor’s, Lieutenant Governor’s, and Speaker’s offices regularly to discuss legislation and strategy. She additionally facilitated the function of the House Committee on Public Education through her responsibilities, including: taking policy meetings, setting hearing agendas, proof reading bill analyses, and general organization. In tandem with legislative responsibilities, she maintained office operations by organizing and taking meetings with advocates and constituents. Miss Spratt regularly communicated with government agencies, advocates, press, constituents and other legislative offices. She is responsible for a weekly e-newsletter that is disseminated to approximately 2000 constituents. Furthermore, Miss Spratt was responsible for the monthly e-newsletter that was disseminated to approximately 2,500 recipients. Each newsletter averaged approximately 4,000 words and included photos and content relating to House District 127 as well as Austin, Texas. This process included article writing, basic graphic design, and basic HTML design.
