I provide outpatient mental health counseling and emotional support to patients receiving cancer treatment at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and document psychosocial interventions in medical record. I collaborate with medical team and supportive services to ensure comprehensive care for patients throughout their cancer treatment.

Provides social work services for facilitating solutions to the medically related psychosocial/environmental problems of patients and families treated in Mayo Clinic's Cancer Center. Ensures the continuity of patient care by implementing interventions and clinical follow up which may include initial assessment, identifying mental health disorders, brief behavioral health interventions, information and referral, during outpatient treatment. Works collaboratively with providers, care teams, nursing, administration, and allied health staff.

• Ensured continuity of patient and family care by utilizing interventions including ongoing psychosocial assessment, counseling, resource provision and referral, crisis intervention, and psycho-education during patients’ hospital admission and outpatient treatment• Provided support and counseling to patients’ and families as they undergo cancer treatment at Dana-Farber/Boston Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders Center and document these interventions in the electronic medical record

• Ensured continuity of patient and family care by utilizing interventions such as ongoing psychosocial assessment, counseling, referral, crisis intervention, and psycho-education during patients’ hospital admission• Conducted psychosocial assessments with newly admitted patients and their families and document these interventions in the medical record• Cultivated productive relationships with patients, family members, and medical team members in a fast-paced medical setting• Advocated for psychosocial needs on behalf of many culturally diverse patients and their families during medical team meetings • Acted as collateral contact between MGH and outside agencies such as patients’ schools, DCF, and social service agencies• Participated in weekly student seminars, group supervision, and individual supervision meetings • Initiated a quality and improvement project developing bereavement packets, to be utilized in the PICU, providing supportive and pertinent information to offer bereaved parents

• Manage a floor of 60 coed senior students living in a residence hall• Assist resident director with crisis management, building logistics, and facilities management• Utilize an education engagement model to develop monthly programs for residents• Participate in duty rotation, working with fellow RAs to ensure resident safety and residents’ adherence to university policy

• Provide one on one counseling to students grades six through twelve• Conduct a sixth grade advisory period, providing lessons and activities to engage the students• Sit-in and contribute to weekly Student Support Team meetings and meetings with parents• Conduct group work sessions with at-risk students• Identify students who are in need of social, academic, or emotional support• Observe various classes and students in their classes to see how students interact with their peers• Complete process recordings for interactions with clients and supervisors

• Managed a floor of 25 female freshman students living in a residence hall• Supervised staff of 21 resident assistants individually in order to provide emotional support, refer to resources for themselves and/or residents, and provide job performance feedback• Planned and implemented educational and social programs for a culturally diverse resident population• Attended weekly meetings with freshman year area director, resident directors, and other graduate student assistants to discuss conduct, budget, and staff concerns and to develop goals

• Collaborate with Career Services director to provide relevant information to social work students• Assist Career Services director with office and administrative tasks• Update current job and fellowship postings on the School of Social Work Career Services website• Attend programs hosted by the School of Social Work Career Services Center
