Amputee Support Group DirectorI was born and raised in Greenville, Ohio (Our claims to fame are Annie Oakley and the Kitchen Aide Mixer!). I am a proud graduate of Bowling Green State University (Dec.-1992) and had the privilege to teach 15 amazing years until an illness which led to limb loss in 2008 took me in a different direction. After a 2-year recovery, additional life changes and some soul searching, I got back out into life, and I have never looked back! I just had to look at my existing skills and use them in new and different ways. I recently left my job at Action Prosthetics as the Patient Liaison-Marketing Director. I am hopeful to find a new employer to challenge me and put my many skills to use. When I’m not working, I love to be outside walking (I’m into participating in 5K events right now.), being outside digging in the dirt in my landscaping or planning a get together with friends and family. I guess you could say that the saying- WHEN LIFE HANDS YOU LEMONS, MAKE LEMONADE - fits my life perfectly! Life truly is what you make it. I refuse NOT to dwell on what has not gone right in my life and live my life to the fullest!
