Managing overall communications, marketing and advertising strategy.

Responsible for all communications going to media, including feature stories, press releases and media advisories. I help manage all of our advertising and write ad copy for new ads. Assists with social media content creation, website updates and works with the rest of our University Relations team to provide all the marketing and PR needs for the Beckley campus.

Wrote and shared stories about West Virginia National Guard Soldiers & Airmen, programs and initiatives. Trained in emergency communication and created content for social media.

Served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in the Communication Studies Dept. Graduate Instructor - Public Communication

Worked with and supported leadership team to coordinate training and orientation materials for new hires and team training needs. Responsible for training and managing Certified Trainer team.

Oversaw all fundraising for outside groups. Responsible for writing press releases and planned/executed monthly family events. Coordinated volunteers for events. Responsible for all social media for two restaurants. Worked outside sales events and acted as shift supervisor when needed. Transitioned to the restaurant Training Director position when owner began seeking opportunity to open a third location.

A grant project funded through Concord University, DHHR and Concord's Social Work Department, the West Virginia Cares for Kids project was a campaign aimed at increasing the number of foster homes throughout southern West Virginia. Was selected to serve on the public relations team with Dr. Jennifer Robinette, Professor of Public Relations. Developed promotional materials and persuasive messages and conducted focus groups/market research to aid in campaign. ◦2014 West Virginia Public Relations Society of America Crystal Awards Winner for: ◾Best Integrated Communications Campaign, Best Research, Best Website, and best Video Public Service Announcement

◦Kept residents informed, safe, and involved in campus life. ◦Responsible for programming each month to involve students in activities. ◦Worked nights and weekends and am frequently available to help students.*Responsible for updating residence hall social media accounts to keep residents and students informed.

◦Responsible for reopening the Fayette County Jail and Law Enforcement Museum for tours. ◦Planned and publicized the Museum grand reopening event. ◦Publicized events in town to locals and tourists. *Created social media (Facebook) account for the Fayette County Jai land Law Enforcement Museum, as well as helped manage the Visit Fayetteville social media.◦Completed 200+ hours of town promotional and community relations duties.
