Mind, body, spirit. Amplifying and supporting growth of these pieces within others is the compass that has guided me in my career as a nurse, encouraged me to instruct yoga, and has now reinforced my desire to enter the world of aesthetics. In my years in nursing, I have aimed to make my patients and peers feel better than when they came in, whether that be physically or emotionally. I saw the value in lifting one’s spirit and it gave me insight into exploring other avenues that could positively influence one’s health, including my own. This is when I began attending yoga as a means to relieve stress, and ultimately, this flourished into a passion worth teaching others. Yoga has the ability to calm the spirit, while promoting the health and appearance of the body. I have seen first hand how this improves one’s self confidence and how crucial that can be to one’s overall wellness. Other self-confidence boosters that I am passionate about include aesthetic procedures from lasers, skin care, and injectables. This interest motivates me to determine what the latest and greatest tools are by speaking to others and doing my own research. I feel I have entered a full circle, where adding aesthetics as a tool to improve the wellbeing of others is a natural, next step in my career aspirations. I have bettered the physical bodies of patients while working as a floor nurse and nurse care coordinator, uplifted the minds of students with yoga, and now I would love to improve the spirit of others by helping them feel more comfortable in their own skin.
