As the state's Chief People officer, I serve as the HR strategist and organizational development leader, with a focus on culture transformation, organizational structure and leadership development to enhance performance and productivity. As the Director of Talent Management & Development I am responsible for providing strategic direction to the Talent Management team to develop leadership and development initiatives to equip the state of North Dakota’s workforce with 21st century leadership skills. Direct the design, development, and implementation of talent management and learning strategies, policies, and programs to grow an engaging and diverse workforce. Oversee the planning and execution of talent and succession management programs and initiatives to enhance team member capabilities, advance organization objectives, drive performance, and foster an environment of diversity and growth.

As the Director of Leadership and Learning, I lead and deliver leadership and learning initiatives to equip our workforce with 21st century leadership skills. Direct the development of a leadership development learning strategy that creates a learning and growth mindset culture. Partner with agency leaders, the Governor’s Office, and team members in Human Resource Management Services (HRMS) to drive leadership and learning strategies during a time of unparalleled innovation and advancement.

Molly leads KLJ's Government Relations Group where the team empowers clients across the United States to pursue a variety of funding opportunities for their priority projects by identifying relevant state and federal funding sources and providing hands on assistance through the grant proposal development process. Molly is certified through the Grantsmanship Center's Federal Grant program. She is trained in advanced grant writing and reviewing. She has been certified through the American Project Management’s Project Management Masters’ Certification Program. Her work with clients extends into all aspects of economic development including project coordination and facilitation, as well as community strategy development. Molly is highly effective in inter-agency communication and coordination with the ability to couple funding initiatives together to maximize resources and reach project goals. She has experience with FEMA, Economic Development Administration (EDA) and Untied States Department of Agriculture (USDA) funding programs to name a few. Molly has completed FEMA training for the Hazardous Grant Mitigation Program as well as specific Benefit-Cost Analysis software. In 2010, Molly was certified as a FAST Facilitation Leader, which is instrumental in developing consensus among multiple individuals, groups and agencies.Molly has diverse experience in business and financial planning for startup and expanding companies. Since 2007, Molly has been working with a wide range of grass-roots businesses to build infant concepts and integrate them into the marketplace. With an educational background focused on business development and finance, Molly provides business planning efforts for clients. Molly works with complex financial projections for public and private entities.Molly has experience in tracking state and federal legislation, researching regulations and analyzing public policy initiatives.

Through KLJ's Young Professional Development Program, Molly designs and implements content to expose young professionals to corporate structure, goals, strategies and the opportunity to develop leadership skills. The curriculum consists of general exposure to KLJ Solutions and each subsidiary. Participants attend leadership training sessions, partake in group projects and reading and discussion assignments to promote knowledge sharing. The course curriculum and schedule is fluid and modified when necessary to maximize effectiveness.

As Rotary District 5580 Visioning Chair, Molly leads 30+ volunteer facilitators to coach the 67 clubs in the District to develop, communicate and implement their 3-5 year visioning plans. Visioning is a foundation element for Rotary clubs, bringing members together toward: continuity of leadership, vision and process; consistency in programming; and consensus toward solidarity and unanimity in purpose and action.

The IDEA Center serves entrepreneurs and inventors that have ideas that have potential for success in the marketplace. The Center leverages the resources of the community to catapult the venture forward with relentless encouragement and support. Molly coaches entrepreneurs across all industries. Since she joined the team in 2007, Molly has helped lead the higher education involvement and is responsible for the IDEA Center’s Internship program implementation. In addition to Molly coordinating the internship program, she provides business planning and grant writing assistance to entrepreneurs. Her experience and practical approach to business proves to be most beneficial to the clients served at the center where a focus is placed on grass roots economic development and providing workforce development through experienced based education.

As an extension of Family, Career and Community Leaders of America (FCCLA) national staff, Molly served as a positive and professional representative of the national organization. Molly worked to enhance FCCLA’s Leadership Academy by developing and implementing leadership development and officer training courses at national conferences. Molly’s strong facilitation background enabled her to lead workshops and breakout sessions, communicate with national network members and assist with Alumni & Associates events.

Besides “being local”; URL radio can do something else local radio stations can’t -- go anywhere. If you are at work, more than likely, you can get us. If you are traveling out of state for business, more than likely, you can get us. If you are vacationing, more than likely, you can get us. If you’ve moved away and still want to keep in touch, you can get us. If you are stationed in Iraq, you can get us. As long as you have internet access, you can get us. Within the next couple years, internet access will be available almost everywhere: cars, tractors, televisions, it’s even spread to phones already.
