In my role as a Campus Life Coordinator, I lead initiatives that enhance campus life through strategic event planning and student engagement. A key responsibility includes serving as a representative on the Student Activities and Resource Fee (SARF) Committee, where I help allocate a $65,000 budget to maximize student impact.Key responsibilities:❏ Collaborate with a team of student leaders to ethically allocate SARF funds and design equitable distribution processes.❏ Advocate for student leaders, providing guidance and support for successful event planning.❏ Counsel student organizations on creating inclusive, high-impact events that foster campus connection.❏ Partner with campus stakeholders across departments to align events with institutional goals.This role has sharpened my skills in event planning, student advocacy, and cross-departmental collaboration, ensuring vibrant and meaningful experiences for the campus community

❏ As a PLU Admissions Ambassador, I lead and engage groups between 4 and 20 people on campus tours. Each tour with prospective applicants and their families gives me the unique opportunity to share rich narrative stories highlighting PLU’s history, traditions and values, and student successes.❏ 2022-2023: On the Admissions Ambassador Leadership Board, I served as the Director for Campus Partnerships. This role involved reaching out to leaders in various departments (e.g. Campus Life, Center for Diversity, Justice, and Sustainability) to coordinate and schedule new hire distinction training sessions. These training sessions help new hires strengthen their PLU storytelling skills and gain an understanding of PLU's mission across departments.

Research Assistant | Nisqually Indian Tribe Language Resource CenterThrough PLU’s Native American and Indigenous Studies ProgramI am honored to contribute to the revitalization and preservation of the endangered Nisqually language as part of a storytelling project at the Nisqually Indian Tribe’s Language Resource Center. This initiative translates cultural practices into the Nisqually language through five short stories and an animated episode.In this role, I have:❏ Collaborated with storyboarding and animation teams to align research with creative storytelling.❏ Researched topics like the First Salmon Ceremony, utilizing historical records and interviews with community members.❏ Presented findings to a multidisciplinary team of language teachers, writers, and staff to inform project development.This experience has deepened my understanding of cultural preservation and storytelling as powerful tools for language revitalization. I am excited to see this work foster greater connection within the Nisqually community and beyond.

This summer, I contributed to access to justice for Pierce County residents by assisting in the development of the Domestic Violence Court Navigator Program, set to launch soon. This program aims to improve courtroom efficiency, foster public trust, and empower pro se litigants to navigate the complex legal system.Key contributions:❏ Conducted research, vision-mapping, and program design to shape the Court Navigator framework.❏ Supported the development of a non-lawyer navigator system to assist pro se litigants with understanding legal processes, answering informational questions, and accessing community resources.❏ Focused on enhancing access to justice and ensuring Pierce County residents have the necessary support to engage with the court system.This experience deepened my understanding of legal systems and public service, while strengthening my skills in research, program development, and advocacy.
