I was hired as the first on-camera traffic reporter for NBC 10, and quickly became the first to do many things within the company. Over the course of four years, I continued to grow and expand my role at WJAR, launching new, branded segments and company initiatives. As a traffic reporter, I delivered traffic updates for the greater Providence metro area and the Boston commute every 10 minutes on NBC 10 News Sunrise from 4:30-7 AM. Viewers could count on me for updated traffic alerts on-air during the Today Show as well. When not on-air, I constantly updated traffic information and engaged with viewers on Twitter and various social media platforms. I successfully launched Sinclair's Facebook newscast initiative, Fastcast; two daily brief Facebook-specific newscasts. I produced, edited and anchored two brief newscasts tailored specifically for Facebook, reaching 60K views for the top three videos.As the first on-air Technology reporter in Providence, I developed, shot, wrote and edited Tech This Out, a sponsored technology franchise segment. I reviewed and reported on the newest gadgets, apps, and products for consumers. I worked as a morning show, and general assignment reporter in Southeast Texas. My strongest skill is connecting with people both on and off-camera. By getting to know my community, and those who lived there, I was better able to tell their stories.As a morning show reporter I was did multiple live hits showcasing unique events and activities every weekday on 12News Daybreak. Once a week, I hosted a pet segment at a local shelter, where I quickly became a volunteer. In addition to the Pet Franchise, I featured an exceptional student each week in the 12 News HD Star Student Franchise.After the morning show, I continued the day as a general assignment reporter. I’m adept at shooting, writing and editing my stories with true ability to create compelling visual and audio pieces.I was responsible for posting all written and video content online and on social media.

I delivered full weather forecasts and daily traffic reports on a 2-hour live morning show called Good Morning Northwest. I took on all weather related responsibilities for the station including web related content. As a Co-host, I booked guests for the morning news/magazine type show and conducted interviews.Interviews ranged from live cooking segments, fitness demonstrations and acupuncture live on air.I also created an environmental segment from the ground up called "On the Green" and wrote a supplemental blog to the information presented on the show.I have quite a bit of live experience in the studio and out in the field anchoring and reporting five days a week. I wrote and posted articles or featured content on the KAPP and KVEW websites.Outside of the daily work routine, I gave presentations at schools and in the studio for students ranging from preschool through high school age.
