I am currently a third-year student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, pursuing a B.A. in English and Political Science through the Honors College of Letters and Science. Alongside my rigorous 18-credit course load, I serve as Co-President of The Giving Tree, a nonprofit I helped expand from its origins to mobilize over 100 students in raising funds for countries in need. Inspired by my college roommate's firsthand experiences in Ecuador, I've used my networking skills to turn a shared dream between 4 roommates into impactful action. Additionally, I'm a lector at St. Paul's Catholic Student Center, where I've enhanced my public speaking and leadership skills while deepening my faith. My journey in the workplace began early, as I started working at a local grocery store at 16 and quickly advanced to Guest Service Representative. Over two years, I gained comprehensive experience through cross-training in every store department, honing my work ethic and adaptability. With a lifelong passion for tennis, which began at age 3, I've combined my love for the sport with teaching opportunities. From coaching children during summers to interning in private and group settings, I've also taught at Nielsen Tennis Stadium in Madison, WI. Here, I independently manage client relationships and deliver 75-minute lessons, enriching my skills in instruction and client service.Currently, I'm gaining invaluable experience as a paralegal under Attorney John Sieben, where I contribute to legal research, document drafting, and general support. This role has deepened my commitment to advocacy and fueled my aspiration to become an Attorney, leveraging my diverse experiences to serve marginalized communities, inspired by my Mexican heritage.I'm eager to maximize my opportunities as a Badger, integrating classroom learning with practical experience to make a meaningful impact.
