Strategic leadership of comprehensive advancement activities for Gies College of Business, one of the world's leading business schools. Oversee the advancement team responsible for all major/principal gift fundraising strategy and execution, alumni engagement planning in support of college priorities, stewardship and donor relations, and related activities. Lead fundraiser who partnered with Dean on $150 million college naming gift. During tenure, more than doubled annual fundraising results and restructured advancement services. Retired from this role as of May 1, 2020.

Managed a substantial portfolio of major/principal gift donors and prospective donors. Met with alumni, corporate and foundation executives to identify and secure private support. Oversaw advancement efforts for multiple colleges, campus-wide multidisciplinary research institutes and foundation relations.Responsible for strategic management of several significant principal gift level prospects. Developed guidance on principal gift strategies, proposals, and stewardship. Advised colleges and units on infrastructure, programs and hiring to maximize advancement success. Managed performance of 40 major gift officers, including 8 direct reports and 32 indirect. Initiated and developed first ever strategic international fundraising effort at Illinois.

Led an advancement team for a very large, top-ranked College of Engineering including coordinating advancement activities and staff across 12 premier departments with management of 10+ major gift officers, and dozens of additional professional staff in stewardship, alumni relations, donor relations, corporate relations, and events. Developed innovative strategic plans for enhanced fundraising, focused alumni relations and engagement, training, communications, international advancement activities, and stewardship. Lead fundraiser on multiple 6, 7, and 8-figure gifts, and one 9-figure gift.Over seven years, built a team that more than doubled fundraising results for the College of Engineering ; including reaching all time record giving multiple years in a row.Organized and led successful campaign for a new 250,000 square foot, $95 million Electrical and Computer Engineering Building, opened in 2014.Led a team in creating a new, innovative approach to engineering scholarship fundraising and stewardship , a $100 million dollar campaign for Engineering Visionary Scholarships.
