Here I worked and learned with 100 other participants from around the world. Living in Southeast Asia was an incredibly eye-opening experience. I participated in the culture and traditions firsthand. I was able to see the disparities between life in a developing nation compared to our norm in the western world. I interacted with people of different races and religions daily. I loved every moment of it. While I was constantly challenged, I was able to grow in immeasurable ways because of my time here. I was also fortunate enough to travel to Malaysia, Vietnam, Cambodia, and Singapore during my time in Southeast Asia. I enjoyed my experiences learning about these countries' vastly different histories and cultures.
