Key Accomplishments:• Revamped career development office to offer a wider range of services• Expanded services to the fully online Outdoor Recreation Economy (ORE) degree program • Expanded services to both admitted students and alumni • Launched a new tool used for career assessment in the first week of a students’ degree program to align students as best as possible with intended careers post-graduation• Launched a new Industry Residency program for last-semester students to aid the transition from classroom to workforcePrimary Responsibilities:• Oversee Career Services, Academic Advising, and Alumni Engagement for the Masters of the Environment program and Career Services for the Outdoor Recreation Economy program• Supervise a team of eight career consultants and two graduate student staff• Manage annual budget of approximately $50,000; used for workshops, industry engagement, alumni programming, speakers, and events • Do one-on-one coaching with students and alumni• Act as primary point of contact for industry seeking to engage the student body through Capstone, internships, or direct hire• Manage the entire suite of workshops offered to students and alumni in both skills based areas, such as GHG Accounting and ESG Investing, and in career centered areas• Manage all hiring, contracting, and management of speakers for the workshops• Put on roughly 15 events per year, including one or two per semester with more than 200 attendees

Key Accomplishments:• Created two federally Registered Apprenticeship Programs (RAP) for Construction Management and Computer Science + Human Centered Design, respectively.• Wrote and/or supported the submission of $30M worth of grants since January 2021.• Designed structures and systems to support new workforce development programs that engage high school and college students to build cross-school mentorship and 4-year support systems. These programs build new pipelines for recruitment of students and increase retention and graduation of those who matriculate.Responsibilities:• Build workforce development programs across the College and aid industry partners in the creation of new internship, apprenticeship, and other work-integrated structures• Develop partnerships with industry to support CEDC initiatives• Foster co-created projects with industry, non-profit, and government partners• Fundraise and grant write to support CEDC programming and student-centered design projects• Create deeper partnerships with other Colleges and on-campus organizations to foster collaboration and interdisciplinary engagement
