As an enthusiastic Physics PhD candidate in the fileds of materials science and Optics, I bring a comprehensive skill set and diverse experience in the realms of nano-materials fabrication, characterizations, ultrafast transient absorption spectroscopy, quantum chemistry calculations (density functional theory), and programming. My passion lies at the intersection of experimental and theoretical research. Through my academic journey, I have gained valuable experiences by:Fabricating nanostructures, such as nanorods and thin films, and characterizing their optical properties using state-of-the-art techniques like UV-Vis spectroscopy, ellipsometry, STEM, and AFM.Employing ultrafast and nanosecond transient absorption spectroscopy to study the dynamics of photocatalysis, providing insights into the fundamental processes driving these phenomena.Developing numerical models and utilizing density functional theory calculations to delve into the mechanisms of photocatalytic processes in semiconductors, with a particular focus on interfacial charge dynamics.Beyond my research endeavors, I am deeply committed to mentoring the next generation of scientists, training them in both experimental and theoretical techniques, and fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. I mentored 3 undergraduate students in conducting research. As I seek to transition my career growth beyond academia, I am eager to apply my analytical skills and collaborative spirit within a dynamic team setting.
