I applied for my first internship at Heriot-Watt University, engaging in different life and career lessons, developing my public speaking skills, creativity, and most importantly, independence. I created presentations, conducted a social media plan as well as an advertisement, and finally delivered a product pitch. I enjoyed a second internship at Charley Signature Marketing Agency undertaking research in digital marketing for luxury brands and assembling a spreadsheet for an upcoming project. I was able to communicate effectively with staff and shadowed the CEO and managers, reinforcing my leadership skills and gaining valuable insight into effective leadership, team collaboration, and the complexities of daily operations. I designed a Real Estate company logo for Jewels Homes and was responsible for taking and editing photos of properties for their website. Attending a hospitality course at the Emirates Academy of Hospitality Management, I gained new experiences during critical thinking and time management workshops. I ensured that we used sources responsibly and I collaborated effectively with my team to successfully execute our project. As Head of Communications and Social Media at school, I manage the school's social media page and have created videos, advertisements, pictures, and edits for school events using software and programs such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe InDesign and Capcut. I worked extremely hard and dedicated time to successfully fulfil this role, working with students and faculty members, and putting a lot of creative thought into my assignments, gaining glowing feedback for my work.
