Laboratory Specialist
Current- Designing and implementing strategies to ensure that project-supported sites attain minimum MoH requirements and improved coverage and provision of quality TB diagnostics.- Conducting detailed audit of project-supported sites, preparing action-oriented work plans and development of innovative strategies that target identified gaps in TB service provision. - Organizing trainings, Continuous Professional development sessions, mentorships and support supervision towards quality improvement and dissemination of new guidelines, research evidences and new interventions.- Guiding facility teams to regularly report on TB activities through routine high-quality HMIS reports and activity reports in line with standard Ministry of Health, donor and project timelines.- Conducting data validation, data quality assessment as well as cleaning to ensure the availability of accurate information in DHIS2 to guide implementation of activities, monitoring and evaluation of project activities.- Guiding and supervising lab infrastructure refurbishments and management of efforts in all project-supported sites.- Designing and functionalizing systems to support district and facility teams to accurately quantify, forecast, order and manage laboratory supplies and commodities to ensure constant availability.- Organizing and scheduling hub coordination meetings and performance review meetings for supported districts in collaboration with NTLP, CPHL, MOH and NTRL- Promoting evidence-based planning, through data use, data analysis - Building capacity of teams to share best practices and foster cross-learning through Quality improvement workshops, mentorship - Implementation research to test out the best strategies to implement effective interventions- Strengthening Quality Assurance efforts - Supporting sample courier services to ensure uninterrupted Specimen transport network
