Business Analyst / Software Developer / Options Trader
Employing aspects of business analytics to describe (descriptive) past performance, predict what is likely to happen next and prescribe how to take advantage of the next opportunity in trading.S&P Strategy Models I have collected three years of options data such as Greeks, volatility, skew and probabilities to build models for four different trading strategies in the S&P index - condors, butterflies, strangles and spreads. These models describe risk, probabilities of success, win rates, return on capital, etc... and are used to set trade expectations through different types of markets. These models are built in Excel using Visual Basic. Aggregation Bands A chart study that plots the expected ranges of products over a period of time based on current volatilities or momentum. This study is used to describe how often price moved away from a range which in turn is used to predict how often this will occur in the future and finally to prescribe how to take advantage of price movement through these ranges. Predictive Indicators Indicators developed using a proprietary scripting language on my trading platform to determine the predictive nature of different products. Examples include Volatility Non-Confirmation, Abnormal Rates of Change, Daily Expected Moves, etc...Live Market Dashboard Designed and developed a “dashboard” that provides a live view of market indexes, sector ETF’s and major market moving stocks. This tool aids in visualizing the current activity in the markets. It also tracks intra-day volatility to look for opportunity. This tool is built in Microsoft Excel using Visual Basic. In addition it utilizes a dynamic data exchange (DDE) to extract real- time quotes of each ticker. The dashboard also has an automatic mode that collects and stores snapshots at different intervals during the day.

My team comprised of product managers, developers, quality engineers and technical writers. My duties included coordinating work-flow within my team as well as coordinating interface work flows with other teams. This included interfaces with workforce management, point-of-sale management, enterprise management and the consulting group that managed the clients on a day to day basis.Comments made in my last performance review: • Commanding understanding and control of project, • Very structured and logical, • Disciplined scope control, • Strong team leader – does the right things, • Escalation savvy, • Takes ownership for results, passionate about quality.
