To me, being a journalist is more than just looking good in front of the camera. It's about serving local communities by telling stories; it's about giving a voice to those who don't have one. I am a recent graduate of the University of Alabama and a former news intern at WVUA 23. I told stories for the people of West and Central Alabama. I have covered stories ranging from tornado damage, grand openings, and town hall meetings. While I may have some experience before even finishing my degree in Communication and Information Sciences, I have a passion at constantly improving my craft. Along with my academics, I worked as a Restaurant Marketing Manager at Chick-fil-A Tuscaloosa DTO. I use social media to promote menu items and most importantly spotlight employee accomplishments such as promotions and anniversaries. I also served as the Social Chair for Radio Television Digital News Association. I planned social media posts for upcoming organization events, and I worked alongside with the president and faculty advisor to plan out the agenda for the upcoming semesters. Outside of my responsibilities, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I love cooking and working out. I also consider myself a "Starbucks connoisseur" and an avid Target shopper.
