I produced a social media and print campaign that increased student participation by 25%. I collaborated with faculty members to organize different activities for the community development and life-skills workshops. I organized meeting logistics, ordered supplies, secured rooms and developed agenda for each meeting. I provided social, emotional, and academic support to first and second year students to ensure a smooth transition to college life. I collaborated with 7 team members to design weekly small group activities, including hands-on workshops that help to promote growth and ways to learn self-care.

I transcribed, analyze, coded 25 interview on the different types on abuse Black Women experienced. I provided strong customer service both in person and on the phone. I supported students and faculty with navigating resources and using SPSS to conduct linear regression analysis. I provided administrative support for faculty and staff by filing research papers and making copies.

I researched, wrote, and developed content that informed institutions of higher learning, government agencies, non-profits and other constituency groups about the purpose of Ohio Campus Compact. I conducted in-depth interviews with constituents and wrote articles/blogs/newsletter pieces based on those interviews. I re-wrote content on the website and fact sheets to make it more informational and easier to read. I updated and organized databases to make sure that data is accurate. I assisted with brand awareness and identified other distribution channels to bring awareness to the non-profit.

I worked at South Loop Elementary for two summers as a Program Instructor. I instructed a classroom of 25 kindergarten students on reading and math. I tutored students who needed additional academic support and learned to adapt to individual differences. I collaborated with a team of six counselors to plan and implement a safe, fun, and educational environment. I built relationships with parents of students in order to discuss academic progress and other educational opportunities. I mentored elementary-aged children through ongoing interaction and positive reinforcement that increased reading comprehension and enhanced study skills.
