After nearly 10 years of online marketing, I merged my love of the digital realm and food to create the company, Social Feedia. I executed copywriting and social media strategy for restaurants and food businesses by crafting strategic messages, bios, press releases and web copy. I also worked with a team of graphic designers, website developers and a tech genius that assisted in executing digital plans with original and content to make people click.

I write food and lifestyle articles for Bello Mag, LAWeekly and the Huffington Post.

My blog showed men that enjoying healthy food can enhance their relationships with women. I created written and video-based content that emphasized healthy food, recipes, tips, ideas and what it can do for relationships. My blog had a nice run with significant audience growth, and was interviewed in the LA Weekly in 2012 for a Valentine's Day feature

I wrote for Red Cup Online Strategy, where I brainstormed, created, edited and revised blog entries in the voice of my client. I wrote various types of blog posts, some were in op-ed style, others were commentary about food-related news for a very specific audience. We use a customized content management tool to work together.

With my partner, I conceptualized and launched www.shejay.net. Since our 2002 launch, the Shejay community grew from 40 to over 2,000 members while expanding our audience to over 10,000 unique viewers per month. We started a social networking site before the concept existed, and built the largest network of female DJs in the world.I sourced and managed all creative content, developed copy for promotional areas of site, recruited contributors, developed story ideas, and worked closely with writers to ensure continuity and editorial standards. I produced a six-month partnership with Puma by developing relevant content on their site. I also organized business and marketing/promotional strategies for the company, which have produced numerous sponsorships, events and partnerships to assist in expanding our reach. We initiated a booking service in 2008, which led to successful placement of international DJs. Producing well-attended events was a requirement. I work with Shejay on a limited basis, as my emphasis is presently food writing.

I wrote about healthy eating, and my title was “Healthy Dining Examiner.” With over ten years of restaurant experience, extensive knowledge of food and a healthy lifestyle, I wrote a column which showed how healthy food choices could also be delicious. This position also required utilizing social media networks to increase the number of visitors and overall visibility of the column.

I researched, edited and updated two books designed to assist parents in selecting the right school for their children. By working closely with the author, I researched new schools and provided a much-needed edit of the existing book. I managed and created new content, worked with other writers, while coordinating with the printer for successful completion of the job.

My company was one of the first sponsors of the first all-female music festival in Los Angeles. With over 60 acts on five stages, this was the first of it's kind in the music capital of the world. I now serve on the Board of Directors, to produce the next event.

As an independent contractor, I coordinated a 2006 fundraiser for the Myositis Association of America. Managed the event planning, talent logistics, promotions and all key participants in the project. Served a key promotional role to ensure proper attendance and media coverage of the event.

As website manager, technical writer/contributor to AILA's magazine, I developed strategies to integrate the public and private site within the goals of AILA’s marketing, membership, conferences and publications departments. I enhanced user-friendliness of the site by conducting phone-based technical training sessions, and developing training materials for members and AILA staff.

I was the publications manager, Webmaster and primary media contact, responsible for research, writing, editing and layout of the NHC’s newsletters, brochures, reports, press releases and advertisements. I assisted in preparing and disseminating public relations/promotional materials for membership organizations. As the primary media contact, I held a key role in expanding the NHC's visibility and developing member programs, and organized media responses to related issues for the organization, and preparing written statements as needed.

Produced segments for "Talk of the Nation," a live, nationally syndicated talk program. I developed story ideas, researched topics, wrote show scripts and prepared host for a daily live show. I also pitched story ideas to publicists, publishers and media, and maintained ongoing contact with various reporters, potential guests and authors.

Performed various production and administrative tasks for a local, talk radio program, "Talk of the City." My work focused on local issues and politics, publicity, pledge-drive coordination and on-air announcements.
