CurrentFair Trade Egypt empowers local communities by offering disadvantaged artisans marketing and support services. It promotes the application of Fair Trade principles as a cultural, social and environmentally responsible business ideal. FTE is currently supporting about 2,000 individual artisans in 13 governorates of Egypt. It is the first and only Fair Trade producer network and retailer in Egypt and is a member of both World Fair Trade Organization and the Cooperation of Fair Trade in Africa. Main Responsibilities Setting the vision and mission of the organization. Design and implementation of its strategic & operational plans including setting the organization goals and budgets and assuming overall responsibility for its financial performance; Overall responsibility of the growth and development of the organization, the employees and its artisans’ network; Guidance and supervision of all operational activities (product purchase, business development, marketing, sales, finance and accounting, administration, artisans' relations); Ensuring compliance of the organization standards, the employees and artisans with the Fair Trade principles and representing them with Fair Trade entities & partners internationally; Responsible of recruitment and human resources management. Guiding, supervising staff, evaluating employees’ performance and providing advice on career development. Working on the capacity building, institutional development, vocational training, product development and Fair Trade practicing for various local Egyptian NGOs & artisan groups;
