Fair Trade Egypt empowers local communities by offering disadvantaged artisans marketing and support services. It promotes the application of Fair Trade principles as a cultural, social and environmentally responsible business ideal. FTE is currently supporting about 2,000 individual artisans in 13 governorates of Egypt. It is the first and only Fair Trade producer network and retailer in Egypt and is a member of both World Fair Trade Organization and the Cooperation of Fair Trade in Africa. Main Responsibilities Setting the vision and mission of the organization. Design and implementation of its strategic & operational plans including setting the organization goals and budgets and assuming overall responsibility for its financial performance; Overall responsibility of the growth and development of the organization, the employees and its artisans’ network; Guidance and supervision of all operational activities (product purchase, business development, marketing, sales, finance and accounting, administration, artisans' relations); Ensuring compliance of the organization standards, the employees and artisans with the Fair Trade principles and representing them with Fair Trade entities & partners internationally;  Responsible of recruitment and human resources management. Guiding, supervising staff, evaluating employees’ performance and providing advice on career development.  Working on the capacity building, institutional development, vocational training, product development and Fair Trade practicing for various local Egyptian NGOs & artisan groups;

The World Fair Trade Organization (WFTO) is the global representative body of over 450 members committed to 100% Fair Trade. It operates in 75 countries across 5 regions; Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America, and North American and the Pacific Rim, with elected global and regional boards, to create market access through policy, advocacy, campaigning, marketing and monitoring. It is the only global network whose members represent the Fair Trade chain from production to sale. WFTO Board Directors are elected to represent the interests of all its members with main responsibilities as: To take part in formulating and regularly reviewing the strategic aims of WFTO, ensuring they reflect the organization’s vision and goals;  To ensure that the policy and practices of WFTO are keeping with its strategic aims; To act as an ambassador & representative for WFTO & Fair Trade globally; Ensure that WFTO functions within legal and financial requirements and strives to achieve best practice.

Main Responsibilities Analyzing and tracking the cost structure for a category of products applying “Standard Costing” to reach the brand actual costing; Variance analysis and management reporting of Total Delivered Cost, actual versus forecast (including the identification and implementation of cost saving ideas); Analyzing and reporting of monthly Raw& Packing material losses. Leading the monthly losses meetings attended by Product Supply managers; Reconciling and controlling all category related accounts (i.e. 800 supplier accounts, customs, clearing and inventory); Tracking & controlling actual spending and comparing it with the forecast budget for all cost elements, which make up Total Delivered Cost using integrated SAPR3 - Costing Module; Financial data gathering from a multitude of sources, complicated accounting analysis down to each brand size and flexibility to incorporate changes into the system; Managing Project Work of procedures’ update- Ex: R&PM control procedure; Computerizing of Excel costing & control spreadsheets, simplifying procedures, increasing internal/external controls and cost savings.
