The State Manager has leadership responsibilities for successful delivery on the ADF Strategic Plan through advocacy, high quality programs and stakeholder relationships. The role contributes to the wider strategic leadership of ADF through leadership groups and projects. The Sate Manager is the jurisdictional face of the ADF, providing leadership in building strategic relationships and sourcing opportunities that further support the alcohol and other drug prevention programs that prevent and reduce harm in Australian communities.

The posiiton works collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary area team to help integrate the local learning and development system in order to improve learner achievement and outcomes for all schools and early childhood services. The role requires support of school networks, principals and their teams to build their leadership and school improvement capacity.

Western Region

This position was responsible for the delivery of corporate services and required the establishment and maintenance of constructive relationships with key stakeholders across all areas within the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development, other government departments, local government and voluntary organisations. The position was responsible for Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Infrastructure Provision, Customer Services, Community Liaison, Emergency Management and Student Wellbeing Programs.

This position required visionary and creative leadership to ensure the provision of leading edge services, associated with Finance, Information Management, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, Facility Management, Governance and Customer Service. The position was also instrumental in community engagement and corporate planning.

As a member of the Executive team, this position was responsible for developing and implementing the systems required to support the financial planning and management of the organisation as well as the governance, human resource, customer service, strategic planning and information technology (IT) functions. The position required a strong industrial relations emphasis and enterprise bargaining capacity.
