I work as a Policy Analyst at the Healthcare Sector Workforce and Beneficiary Services division of the Ministry of Health in British Columbia. My job involves managing projects and developing policies for the province's HHR Strategy, as well as overseeing the delivery of healthcare services to beneficiaries and implementing workforce strategies.Before my current role, I worked as a Graduate Academic Assistant at The University of British Columbia (UBC), where I led research projects using Immersive Virtual Reality (VR) in Dementia Care. I also have extensive experience as a General Physician, having worked for over 18 years in various medical institutions, providing care to patients of different ages, genders, and cultural backgrounds.My academic background includes Master of Health Leadership and Policy (MHLP) specializing in Seniors Care, from UBC, and Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from India.I have a diverse set of skills that include policy development and evaluation, project management, acute care, emergency care, hospice and palliative care, preventive medicine, psychological and behavioral counseling, and vaccinations. In addition, I am well-versed in healthcare organizational management, health insurance, health camps, and educational events. My passion lies in conducting patient-oriented research and knowledge transfer. I have successfully communicated and collaborated with various health authorities, international journals, staff, and social media platforms for grant acquisitions, publications, and trainings. My goal is to improve the quality of life and healthcare for the people by developing innovative, evidence-based healthcare policies and providing support for the healthcare workers.
