Research engineer devoted to railway industry with solid background in rail vehicle dynamics and 11 years of experience in collaborative research projects that aim to reduce the time and the cost of the approval processes (authorization and customer acceptance) of railway vehicles, sub-systems and components by employing different techniques (analytical, numerical, HIL, etc.). Working in different topics through the life cycle of a rail vehicle, I have experience in wheel-rail contact modelling, multi-body system simulations, suspension design (running safety, stability and ride characteristics), ride comfort prediction, vehicle testing and homologation (EN 14363, EN 15595, …), train braking simulation as well as BIM modelling. My main domain of interest is related to the development of innovative rolling stock by performing numerical simulations using the suitable tools and/or test rig to improve the estimation of adhesion, vehicle/track interaction and the dynamic performance of new rolling stock design.
