Chris Moncrief is a design & innovation leader with a decade of experience as a strategist, product manager, and entrepreneur, creating products that drive growth and cultural transformation. Raised in the Bronx, NY, Chris brings the resilience and energy of his roots to every project. Starting his career in program implementation, he quickly transitioned into human-centered innovation, focusing on tackling complex societal challenges.Chris’s career started in education innovation leading him to expand his focus to larger systemic issues. His work across sectors embodies a commitment to connecting communities with the tools they need to thrive. Using design strategy and social innovation, he brings people together to create collaborative solutions that drive meaningful impact. At Accenture, consulting for Fortune 500 companies and nonprofits, seamlessly moved between strategic vision and grassroots execution, refining high-level design to fit hands-on implementation. Later, as the Service Design lead at Thrivent Financial, he built out their design practice, advancing wealth-generation opportunities for communities historically underserved by the financial system.Fueled by a “serial hustler” mentality and a commitment to social impact, Chris founded The Kyndred Company, a civic innovation and design studio focused on empowering pro-social startups, nonprofits, and local governments. Kyndred’s mission is clear: to bridge gaps in technology, equitable wealth generation, education reform, and housing development, offering resources that are often out of reach for these groups.Chris believes we have a responsibility to accomplish more than we think possible.
