I am a recent graduate of the Boston University School of Medicine Physician Assistant program. I have a strong clinical research background with expertise in clinical diabetes education, exercise physiology, pulmonary physiology, and stress resistance in C. elegans. I had an exciting career as an exercise physiologist and researcher at Joslin Diabetes Center. I conducted research where I investigated the mechanisms involved in lifespan extension as well as stress resistance in the model organism C. elegans. As an exercise physiologist,I worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team with endocrinologists, nurse practitioners, behavioral health clinicians and dietitians with the goal of helping individuals reduce their A1c and improve their quality of life. I specialized in diabetes education, diabetes management, and exercise prescription for individuals with prediabetes, Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes. I also worked as a pulmonary exercise physiologist at Tufts Medical Center where I worked alongside pulmonologists to perform pulmonary function testing as well as invasive and non-invasive cardiopulmonary exercise testing. In addition to my clinical roles, I enjoy working on improving workflows, education programs, and quality improvement. In all of my roles, I have always strived to perform to the best of my ability. I am always willing to contribute in any way that I can and work as part of a team. In my free time, I serve as an executive board member for a local community health center. I also volunteer at health fairs, powerlifting competitions and other events. I enjoy competing as a USA powerlifter at the national and international level.
