Incorporated as a Section 8 Company, Mongia Foundation is a For-Impact, Not-for-Profit initiative of Mongia Steel Limited, one of the leading iron & steel manufacturing companies in Bihar and Jharkhand. Mongia Foundation is building a globally unique, first-of-its-kind technology platform for deployment in the non-profit sector. This technology platform will disrupt the way non-profit projects and programs are implemented, controlled, and measured. Mongia Foundation is partnering with Mongia Green Foundation, a charitable trust incorporated in the year 2013 by Dr. Gunwant Singh Mongia, Chairman and MD of Mongia Steel Limited and two other Founding Trustees, to share the trust’s long experience and expertise in social and tribal welfare work and also to fund the various ongoing projects of the Trust. Few of the ongoing projects of Mongia Green Foundation are rehabilitation and mainstreaming of endangered tribal communities, sponsoring of higher education for those who cannot afford the cost, Santushti (supplementary nutrition project for the school going children and Covid Care (building awareness about self-protection and vaccination and sponsoring the cost of home care medicines for the poor and marginalised people in Jharkhand).Mongia Foundation is supporting all the ongoing projects of Mongia Green Foundation to strengthen the trust’s efforts in championing and advocating social upliftment of the tribal communities as well as underprivileged sections of our society across the country in the areas of health, education, livelihood development, as well as socio-economic and socio-psychological development.
