Monica’s over 15 years experience with premier investment banks is an invaluable asset to her clients. Over the course of her career, Monica developed an expertise in institutional securities, sales & trading, electronic trading, capital raise, business development, strategic marketing, product management, investor relations, and wealth management. In 1997, Monica joined Morgan Stanley in Institutional Equity Sales. As an original member of their Electronic Trading team, she delivered custom trading & risk management solutions to well-known hedge funds, pension funds, asset management firms, and their associated portfolio management, trading and research teams. In 2005, Bank of America Merrill Lynch recruited Monica as a principal architect behind their electronic trading platform. She restructured sales & trading teams, recruited, nurtured junior talent, established P&L budgets & performance goals, implemented a cross-bank client offering, and increased revenues. In 2008, the Head of Equities & Sales Distribution appointed her to a COO role. She led a strategic program to serve top client relationships and enhance revenues. She earned Managing Director title for her overall impact for the division. Monica then spent three years at Nomura as global liaison to expand Nomura’s platform in the Americas.Monica relocated to Miami, where she joined EarlyShares.com, an equity crowdfunding platform to lead Business Development and Investor Relations. Immersed in the entrepreneurial start up community, she worked with venture capital firms, private equity groups and angel investors to identify early stage growth companies and commercial real estate projects for capital raise.Monica is known for her relentless advocacy for her clients, her strong client relationships and taking care of what matters most to them.
