PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCENCSO (National Construction Safety Advisor)• Ensure a safe work environment for all project employees, contractors and visitors• Provide safety support and direction to all Supervisors/Foremen• Inform the Project Manager and Supervisor/Foremen of any legislative changes within the projects time schedule• Maintain and update emergency response plans and procedures.• Conduct safety meetings and orientations, participate in Toolbox meetings to insure that hazards are addressed and control is in place, provide feedback to workers to assist them for compliance.• Identify health and safety concerns that apply to each construction site and recommend measures to help protect workers from potentially hazardous work methods, processes, or materials and environmental issues.• Ensure safety obligations with clients are carried out as per the terms of the agreement and communicated to the Project Manager /Supervisors/Foremen.• In conjunction with the Owner and Prime Contractor, ensure new hires are orientated.• Inspect/ evaluate workplace environments, equipment, and practices per HS&E manual schedule and ensure compliance with OH & S Standards.• Insure HS&E Manual, applicable provincial OH&S legislation and regulations, site safety inspection forms, observation forms, toolboxes, FLHAs, air monitors and radios are available on site.- Maintain inventory for all hazardous products used on project / WHMIS/ MSDS• Insure incidents/near misses are reported immediately to the employer and Prime Contractor and insure appropriate reports are sent to employer and Prime Contractor as soon as possible.• Participate and assist in the investigation of incidents to determine cause and establish what is required to eliminate any possible reoccurrence in the future. Provide management safety reports, review workers FLRA, Safe Work Procedures and Practices, JHAs, permits, MSDS, etc.- Co-ordinate administration/ documentation of HSE procedures. Conduct audits
