BIOMECHANICS RESEARCH LABORATORY, DEPARTMENT OF MECHANICAL ENGINEERING • Evaluated head-neck muscle movement in athletes using Optotrak motion capture system with a UM Physician and Post-Doc.• Collected and analyzed data on neck muscle stiffness, strength, reaction time, and anthropometry using LabVIEW and Matlab.• Tested a prototype reaction time device with 70 people aged 8 to 30, collected and analyzed data, assisted in developing methods to standardize its use from both user perspectives (tester and subject), and performed minor trouble shooting.• Created the prototype, setup, testing, data collection and strain analysis of the brain due to perturbations using a high-speed camera and mesh analysis.• Headed subject scheduling and preliminary consenting of potential subjects.

DEPARTMENT OF PIPELINE SERVICES• Developed a product maintenance program to enhance lean manufacturing practices; oversaw CAD drawing development.• Gathered pertinent testing and material documentation, and calculated safe operating conditions based on material properties.
