Associate Director, Black Campaigns
Current•Successfully partner with key internal and external stakeholders to lead development and implementation of targeted advocacy and outreach initiatives to address the unique challenges and priorities of Black Communities through community mobilization. •Resourcefully lead, mentor and manage the performance of the Black Campaigns Specialist; developed a structured approach to goal setting and progress tracking, leading to enhanced performance and impactful outcomes through regular evaluations. •Strengthen organizational reach by co-managing 4 National Black Organizers in meeting yearly goals via regular check-ins and support, leading to the implementation of several successful issue campaigns and an expanded network of leaders/volunteers. •Design and execute the annual Black engagement and mobilization strategy in collaboration with Senior leadership, which focuses on educating communities on key issues and centering mobilization on current legislative and political developments. •Prioritize policy and social change by collaborating with the National Organizing Team designing and executing an average of 5-7 trainings per year, spanning topics such as Equitable Story Collection, VAN 101, relational organizing, and large activations.•Pioneered a high-impact Black Men Engagement program aiming to foster trust and inclusion; led a week of action that led to 7 affiliates hosting community discussions for Black men, which has been pivotal in gathering feedback to improve the program.•Designed the 2024 Black Campaigns electoral strategy to mobilize voters across 5 states through high-visibility events, digital ads, and traditional field tactics, and created digital ads in partnership with Men4Choice, engaging over 6 million men in Texas.
