About Mônica Misawa

With eight years of professional experience in the medical device industry, I am a health professional passionate about Education and Clinical Sciences. During graduation years, I assisted many animal studies on bone regeneration. In the master I conducted clinical research on bone healing, whilst during the doctorate I conducted pre-clinical lab research on the role of Mesenchymal Stem Cells in immunomodulation.In my most recent role, I collaborated with key opinion leaders, academic institutions, and health care professional associations to promote scientific and clinical knowledge on medical devices characteristics and their clinical applications. I have a strong background and interest in clinical and preclinical research, having published several articles in peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international conferences. I have also acquired skills in medical marketing, project management, and customer relationship management, which enabled me to lead the development of the medical affairs department of a Pharma company in Brazil. I am motivated by the mission of improving the quality of life and well-being of patients, in Brazil and globally.
