Latinas for Latino Lit (L4LL) is dedicated to supporting Latino literacy, with an emphasis on Latino children's literacy, and promoting Latino authors and illustrators. We work with publishers of multicultural children's literature to think outside the box and reach the Latino community to put Latino (children's) literature in their hands. WL4LL is the creator of the Latino Children's Summer Reading Program, the first nationwide, online program designed specifically for Latino families.

I'm organizing a national book drive for the migrant children and their families who have recently been released from detention centers. I've partnered with Save the Children and the books will be used in the two shelters in New Mexico where they are currently working. These books will be used in their Child-Friendly Spaces and Mother/Baby areas where their staff and the parents will read to children while they are at the Respite Center. They would also like to be able to send a book along with as many children on their journey to their sponsor family as possible.Currently, they have around 200 children and their families coming through the facility each day. Save the Children has made a 2-year commitment and expects to serve between 10,000 and 50,000 children each year. Please contact me to donate new children's books in Spanish!

I work with PBS KIDS to provide educational resources for children and their families. As an ambassador, I share information, materials, opportunities and other resources from PBS KIDS for children and their parents.

PBS KIDS has assembled a team of early childhood educators and educational bloggers who provided tips and ideas for parents to help their children learn early math concepts and to integrate math activities into their daily lives. Parents can also visit PBS KIDS Lab for additional information and tools from the Math Mentors.
