I am a doctoral-level researcher experienced in epidemiology, health services research, statistical modeling and scientific writing. I am interested in research that improves cancer prevention and health outcomes for patients with cancer and other genetically driven diseases. I am also interested in research that improves drug safety and vaccine safety, and that maintains the highest health research data quality. Areas of Expertise: • Clinical research on cancer survival and treatment patterns• Health services research on cancer screening, quality metrics for diagnostic testing, medication and vaccine administration • Cancer research (gastric cancer, neuroendocrine tumor, breast cancer, lung cancer, esophageal cancer, melanoma)• Genetic, Molecular and Environmental Epidemiology (Genome wide association studies, biomarker association studies of cancer risk and survival) • Large database linkage and health data quality I led research teams to successfully complete projects resulting in the publication of several peer-reviewed first author papers and contributed writing, editing and analysis of other published papers. The research resulted in 1) more accurate diagnosis for patients with sickle cell disease, 2) accurate recruitment of patients for a biobank study and 3) quality assurance of death data for survival analysis.I am experienced in grant writing and peer review of journals related to cancer and epidemiology. As a volunteer, I have organized seminars and managed and wrote for the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute postdoctoral fellow newsletter.
