Currently, I am Collaborator Professor at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC) in Health Sciences studies -Master in Nutrition and Health- Clinical Nutrition and Public Health. Recently graduated in Integrative Nutrition Health Coach by the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and with a Master in Integrative Medicine (TECH Institute 2021). In the last six years, I have been researcher and teacher at Rovira i Virgili University (URV), Department of Nutrition and Public Health Unit (Nutrition and Mental Health Research group), aiming to study the frequency and distribution of health problems, their risk factors and its impact on human health. In the last years, I have focused my research interests to the environmental determinants of maternal and child health and the risk factors that could impact human health throughout the life course (including both inherited and environmental factors), the mechanisms implied, how these factors interact with each other, and have a global effect on an individual’s health. Through the assessment of environmental factors at early life and by using unique pregnancy cohorts established and followed up in southern Europe, research conducted during this period has provided me new insights into the role that environmental factors (including diet) play in optimal and sub-optimal human health throughout the life-cycle, and their consequences on lifelong susceptibility to certain disorders, (ASD, ADHD, OCD, etc). In addition the work performed provide scientific- based evidence of the probiotic strains that may be effective for the prevention and treatment of many disorders in human.
