After 20 years of studying and teaching philosophy in the university system, I created Curious Soul Philosophy to move philosophy beyond academic debates and develop the practical value of philosophy for everyday life. I especially love helping authors to craft learning content that educates and inspires a broad audience. That includes everything from helpful web content, blogs, and thought-leadership articles, to college course materials, journal articles, and book manuscripts. Depending on needs, I am happy to act as a developmental editor and think critically and creatively with authors about ideas, audience, structure, and arguments. I am also happy to act as a copy editor and focus on clear, clean, and consistent language according to style guides. I'm particularly good at helping authors turn meandering or esoteric sentences into crisp, efficient, and accessible prose for a broad readership. I've worked on projects in the arts and humanities, philosophy, psychology, nature awareness, personal development, athletics, travel, and culture. I'm an enthusiastic asker of questions, a careful listener, and a critical thinker. I have a knack for connecting with core values and the reader's desire for depth, inspiration, and tools for action.
