Synchro Diffusion, distribuidor multiuniverso del grupo Mobivia , llevaba más de 10 años asentado en Francia y el equipo directivo decidió dar el salto a nivel internacional. He contribuido desde el primer minuto a que Synchro Diffusion España se asiente como empresa, cree una sólida red de clientes y proveedores. Además he formado parte de la implantación de un operador logístico en el territorio español.

Llegué a Norauto para formar parte del equipo de Gestión de la Demanda, en el departamento de Logística, y al poco tiempo se me dio la oportunidad de formar parte de un nuevo proyecto. Este proyecto consistía principalmente en crear un espacio de venta de la marca Norauto fuera de los centros Norauto. Para ellos, se implantaba un corner con productos Norauto en las tiendas de nuestros clientes, con producto adecuados a sus necesidades. Este proyecto me ha aportado un conocimiento global de aprovisionamiento, negociación con proveedores y clientes, gestión de stocks, seguimientos de ventas y facturación. Además de desarrollar mis habilidades de organización, gestión de equipos y trato con el cliente.

Durante esta experiencia tube la oportunidad de gestionar y coordinar parte de la apertura de Leroy Merlín Castellón. Una experiencia muy intensa y enriquecedora que sin duda me marcó y me ayudó a evolucionar personal y profesionalmente, dándome la oportunidad de liderar un gran equipo y un afrontar un reto apasaionante.Durante el montaje de la tienda nueva a un kilómetro de distancia de la antigua tienda, estuve coordinando los equipos de logística de ambas tiendas. Ambos equipos se formaban por unas 10 personas, que en momentos puntuales durante la preparación para la apertura aumentó hasta 40 personas. En la tienda nueva la prioridad era descargar el material necesario para el montaje y posteriormente todos los nuevos productos a implantar, mientas la otra tienda seguía funcionando con normalidad y se iba preparando para el cierre. Además, una vez asentada la tienda nueva, formé parte del equipo que coordinó la desmantelación de la nave antigua.

I started working for JMP Consultants Ltd as an assistant for the new team 'Movement and Place'. Due to the uncertainty of creating a team from scratch, I started working as a technical assistant with a temporary contract. However, once the department consolidated, I was offered a permanent contract as Assistant Engineer and Assistant Urban Designer. In December of 2015 JMP was acquired by SYSTRA Ltd but it wasn´t until January 2017 when the total integration took place. With this acquisition not only the workload intensified but also our resources and international projection boosted. During all this period in JMP and SYSTRA, my abilities as a civil engineer and especially as an urban designer have developed noticeably and continue improving day by day. Moreover, my IT skills using graphic design tools have strengthened. Every project we work on tries to adapt to the client’s needs as much as possible and are entirely related to urban design, transport, placemaking and civil engineering. It´s difficult to define all the projects that I have worked on but these are the main tasks that we have been developing along these years: Developing ‘visions’ for places; Designing built spaces; Advising on the design of developments and regeneration projects; Researching and analysing places and people – understanding the physical, political, economic, spatial and psychological context of the places you work with and the people who use them; Influencing people by using your skills and knowledge to help others make better decisions and teach them how to make successful places; Developing guidance and policies relating to the built environment; Community consultation; Graphic representation – from sketching and technical drawing to using the latest technologies and packages in visualisation and computer aided design; and create detailed plans for construction.

I was in charge of managing a small group of Brazilian students in a charity project for a community of allotments in Handsworth (Birmingham, UK). The project consisted in trying to integrate these allotments more in the community by encouraging them to get more involved and trying to 'cultivate' a feeling of pride and belonging. To do this it was not only necessary to analyse and understand the political, economic and social context in which the community was embedded but also the conditions in which the allotments were. For this reason, photographic and topographic studies were undertaken and the users and neighbours were interviewed. Finally, with all the data collected, a workshop was organized to try to coordinate and put together all this information and to try to create and strengthen union and collaboration in a very divided community due to their very different cultures, religions and races.The UACA ia a cooperative association of allotments, non-profit organisation, which are situated on the north western edge of Birmingham, adjacent to the Sandwell Valley Country Park. The Uplands Allotments are the largest allotment site in the UK - with 422 plots - it opened in 1949, with its own office and meeting hall. The allotments are owned by Birmingham City Council, and plotholders rent is paid to the Council annually. There is also a local group of plotholders who meet regularly to maintain and improve the site and provide social functions.

I was offered an internship period in which I was in charge of giving technical assistance in the completion of viability studies and urban design strategies in China. In this time, I was able to broaden my IT urban design skills and I had my first experience working with real-world urban design projects. It has now established a network of collaborative offices across 5 international sites, focussing on large scale Urban and Landscape planning, social housing, public realm, retail, education, private residential and tourist sector planning. The projects range in size and complexity from a single bench, through to the largest project of 1000Ha. We have successfully designed, managed and delivered sustainable and ecological projects in UK, Europe, Middle East and especially China.

My Final Degree Project arose from the necessity of giving a better urban use to an old river bed located in the town of Puzol. Developing this project, I specialized in Urban design, urban planning and landscape but also widened my knowledge in civil engineering. This project flourished as an old personal conviction which I propoused to the City Council. They were really pleased with the idea so the Province Council and the university decided to grant me to develop it. The main objective of this project was to give the old riverbed a public urban use in the area where it runs through the city centre of the town of Puçol. To accomplish this, I created a whole project from beginning to end that included budget, plans, report, etc. that would be owned by the city council when completed. This project was my first contact with the urban design and civil engineering world and was really helpful for me to enter the UK job market.
