As part of a strategic global outreach program, I manage Cruelty Free International’s campaigns in North America with a focus on the United States and Canada. I implement a range of projects and activities designed to bring an end to the use of animals in safety testing for cosmetics and household products. Working with key corporate partners and stakeholders, I help build upon Cruelty Free International’s programs to create high impact positive change for animals in North America.

As part of a strategic global outreach program, I manage Cruelty Free International’s campaigns in the U.S. with a range of projects and activities designed to bring about changes in public and political attitudes to animal experiments. Working with key corporate partners and stakeholders, I will help build upon Cruelty Free International’s programs to create high impact positive change for animals in the U.S.

• Create, implement and manage campaigns and programs in multiple subject areas including wildlife conflicts, trapping, fur, captive wildlife and wildlife trade • Prepare presentations, reports and campaign materials for publication • Devise, implement and coordinate undercover investigations • Review and analyze agency proposals and write organizational response • Serve as organizational spokesperson and draft media releases • Coordinate and direct legislative initiatives • Provide support for fundraising, development and special events • Manage social media and liaise with webmaster on website content and member communication • Develop and maintain external relationships and coalitions • Supervise Program Assistant and Program Associate positions

• Handled multiple campaign areas including wildlife, companion animals, exotic animals and farmed animals • Conducted an undercover investigation and report on the sale of animals in pet stores in California which resulted in successful passage of 2009 law that increased pet shop regulations• Researched and documented the long distance transport of farmed animals destined for slaughter. Produced short film on the topic and wrote the North American chapter for the book Long Distance Transport and Welfare of Farm Animals published by CAB International • Coordinated international fur free retailer program with 15 international organizations www.furfreeretailer.com • Published paper in the peer-reviewed Journal of Animal Welfare on the welfare and suitability of parrots as companion animals

Directed multiple campaigns and conducted undercover investigations to advance and inform campaign objectives.

Provided overall management to grassroots campaigns on a range of issues

 Provided supportive care and feeding of animal patients and sanitation of facility.  Administered medications (oral and injection) and monitored IV fluids. Assisted veterinarian and technicians in medical procedures and emergency care.
