Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the design department, directly overseeing a team of 9 and managing the departamental budget. Led both the creative and technical design team, and liased with all other areas of the organization. Merchandising and planning for all lines: Women, Men, Junior, Kids and Baby. Sourced materials and suppliers, negotiating pricing as needed. Supervised development of all new product, from conceptualization to final production sample. Ensured the department met the company’s key operational calendar dates.

Created and oversaw all communication and marketing activities. Launched the Legambiente brand in the Mexican market through social media strategies and BTL communication. Created all graphic communications, managed social media communities and maintained the website. Worked alongside the organization’s president on strategic planning, event planning and grant applications.

Developed consulting-type projects for companies that address the main areas of the fashion world: product management, brands, buyer, retail, communication and events. These were aided by a series of lectures, providing state-of-art knowledge relevant to the issues dealt with, and by the direct involvement with the company.

Created the tech and quality specification sheet to hold all information regarding a model in a single document as opposed to four, as it had been handled previously. Worked directly with brand management, commercial directors, and communication and merchandising team. Material sourcing and selection. Supervised the technical team on the development of prototypes and samples. Supervised and authorized fittings. Created prototype guides, spec sheets and retail information guides regarding all models. Followed up on the production and distribution process to ensure calendar goals were met.

Creative Design for Ilusion brand: lingerie, sleepwear, loungewear, sportswear, swimwear, shapewear and streetwear for women, men and children.Worked as a member of the creative team, collaborating directly with brand management and commercial direction. Collection design, material selection,material guides, tech specs, prototype development, retail spec sheets, print, embroidery and transfer development, fit supervision.

Wrote and researched a weekly fashion and style column. Trend research, analysis and interpretation to create appealing content for the target readership. Image curation for the column’s lay-out.
