DIA DIA is a retail food and grocery store chain in Venezuela for the low income market segment. - Lead Architect during company start-up phase, promoting innovative and creative ideas to generate the initial spatial design and the image of the store concept.- Designed a scalable store prototype by generating image, layout, and architectural elements based on corporate branding.- Coordinated the project of each store on a “fast track” scheme, managing construction process, contractors and subcontractors on site.

Architect in charge of building design and development of the store layout, operational procedures and logistics for “Hipermercado Excelsior Gamma, Sta. Eduvigis” and “FRISCO Delicateses, C.C. Trinalta, La Boyera”. Caracas, Venezuela. GERENCO is a Design and Build company that develops project in a “fast track” scheme. During the Excelsior Gamma experience the challenge was to develop the most appropriate architectural solution for the client under a series of restrictions such as: urban planning regulations, limitation of space for truck loading and unloading, the legal requirements for parking space, complexity of the operational logistics, among others. During the FRISCO Delicateses project the main achievement was to develop the programme of a food store, bakery and its kitchen in a very compact space. In GERENCO, I also had the opportunity to work as a support architect in some commercial projects: C.C. CIMA (Barinas),C.C. Llanomall (Portuguesa), C.C. Regina (Anzoategui).

Research assistant in the edition project and publication of the book “Planning Latin America’s Capital Cities, 1850-1950” Edited by PhD. Arturo Almandoz. This book is part of the Collection of Planning History and the Environment Series of ROUTLEDGE. I was the Research editor assistant in charge of analyzing, studying and investigating about each city, as well as handling all the book graphic material. During this time I had the opportunity to work with a group of architects, urban planners and writers who studied the planning process of cities from some Latin American countries such as Argentina, Chile, Brazil, México, Peru, Cuba, Costa Rica and Venezuela.
