Monica Kowalczyk is a Quality and Compliance Coordinator at the DuPage County Health Department in Wheaton, IL., and a recent New to Public Health residency program graduate through the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Monica graduated from Northern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science degree in 2019, and a Master of Public Health degree in 2022. Monica co-published several peer-reviewed research articles focused on improving access to hospice and palliative care services among rural communities and underserved racial/ethnic populations. In her current role, Monica serves as the DuPage County Health Department's coordinator for quality and compliance and public health accreditation, leads agency-wide audits, conducts internal site visits, performs clinical chart and peer reviews, represents her team as a member on the Environment of Care Committee, and manages all efforts related to client satisfaction data.
