Full time overnights. Supervising the premises of the shelter, answering phone calls for emergency housing services, and assisting youth residing at the shelter when they are experiencing mental health crises.

Supported Housing of Perth Program (SHOPP) is a new initiative that has been launched in Stratford and Perth County. SHOPP is based on the Housing First model of ending homelessness by providing a home with wrap around services to those experiencing homelessness or high rates of housing instability. As a Housing Stability Worker, I assist in brokering relationships between housing participants and services they want to access.

My primary objective as the Community Outreach Worker is to prevent youth homelessness within Stratford and Perth County. In order to achieve this goal, I meet with youth who are experiencing housing instability and work with them to create a safety plan.
