My team specializes in marketing Covered CA programs and works closely with health centers, community enrollers, schools, and CBOs to create strategic plans to market, outreach, enroll, retain, and educate clients on utilizing their benefits. As a firm, RHA has, for over 40 years, pioneered community-based programs, such as the implementation of the Affordable Care Act in CA. At RHA, I was a marketing specialist for the California Department of Insurance for their CLCA Program. I screened and vetted nonprofits for grant opportunities, created marketing materials and client screening programs, trained staff to do outreach and client retention, partnered with local representatives and law enforcement, reviewed state data and focused targeted heat map zip codes, created and participated in workshops and community resource fairs. Our goal was to work with diverse, statewide communities in order to help reduce California's uninsured population.

As a Community Advocate, I worked with low income families in crises and enrolled them into this federal educational program.I processed legal documents, prepped for federal audits, manned our informational phone line, traveled to 20 school sites, completed home visits and enrollments. I created enrollment fairs and community outreach events to promote programs by collaborating with local community organizations. I collaborated with school nurses, disabilities, nutrition, and educational specialists to help students and parents set and complete educational and family health goals.

Worked with children with disabilities, English Second Language students, and the community. Tutored children in K-6th grade. Office assistant and trained to assess children for state exams, process student files, and translate paperwork for the school and district. Translated Individualized Educational Program Meetings for parents with the school psychologist, speech therapists, and disabilities staff.
