Lead Community Health Corporate Social Responsibility for 8 hospitals within the Denver Metro Region. Designed Community Health and Community Benefit strategies, including nurse home visitation, social determinants of health and community-clinic interventions. Leveraged Centura Health's assets as a business, employer, health care provider and nonprofit health system to address the most pressing health issues. Established a community engagement strategy through a collaborative leadership style to forge partnerships with local leaders, hospital systems and community organizations to leverage community input and assets to design meaningful strategies to improve community outcomes, establish trust and maximize visibility.

Lead Community Health CSR strategy for five hospitals within the Centura Health network of care via community engagement, strategy design, plan implementation and ongoing evaluation of effectiveness. Lead the discussion of associate, patient and community wellness across the system and designed strategies adopted across the health system.

Metro Denver

Led the Basic Human Needs investment strategy in Metro Denver by directing the philanthropic portfolio focusing on food security, safety from domestic violence, housing stability and access to basic medical care for communities of color, immigrant/refugee communities and those living in poverty. Responsible for the shift from traditional grantmaking across the nonprofit community to a community-informed process focusing on the identified issues through a lens of equity and root causes, which included shifts to the overall grant process. Led by community leaders, both professional and resident, who were impacted by the issues, the portfolio strategy was a comprehensive approach of community navigation, public will building, systems changes and person-centric direct services. Each portion of the portfolio was informed by an evaluation model designed to encourage ongoing learning and improvement over time. Using similar design principles, launched the award of the Colorado Health Access Fund, directing over $40M to focus on behavioral health for those of greatest need throughout Colorado, using the same design principles.

Lead Kaiser’s Corporate Responsibility Strategy for community health in Colorado system of care and nationally. Strategy included identification of community health needs and the development of Kaiser Permanente’s role to improve community health. Developed the community health policy agenda and the expansion strategy into new service areas. Community engagement ranged local and state to the national level. Partnered with Kaiser Permanente Evaluation team to assess effectiveness.

Led collaborative public and environmental health work for the City and County of Denver through a partnership between Denver Health and Hospital Authority and Denver Environmental Health. In this role, I developed Denver’s first public health report on the status of the health of Denver residents. I led a coalition of over 60 partners to leverage community assets to meet the Healthy People public health goals through both programs and policy. Served as the health liaison to Denver's elected officials and advised on the integration of health into other city and county departments. Led community-based, grassroots efforts to understand and address health in diverse communities and lifted up learnings to impact city policy and structure, with a focus on land use and planning decisions.

Oversaw Maternal and Child Health Programs including coordinated access to care (SCHIP, Medicaid, TANF and SNAP), MCH Health Promotion focusing on obesity prevention, community outreach and integration of MCH programming. Advised County Commissioners on public health policy.
